The crowd cheered wild with excitement. The Mavericks led the Raptors by 30 points. However, the crowds cheer on again when Mav star player, Yuki Togashi entered the court. Just like that moment, all of Togashi's fans came in one place to cheer on their idol.
Togashi is one of the youngest players in the league at 21. He also seemed short for an NBA player. However, when it comes to dribbling and shooting it, he's still got the moves to do what it takes to succeed.
Having just a 1:24 left in the game, he captured the scene to his attention by implementing a three-pointer. The crowd gave a huge sigh of relief as the ball made past the rim and made a loud dunk. When the referee called on Togashi to reprimand his actions, the crowd let out a deafening boo.
Togashi made a last-minute shot with 45 seconds left. The opponent seemed to have tricked Togashi, but the star player still found a way to outsmart the opponent.
Mavericks summer league head coach, Kaleb Canales had this to say when he commended Togashi:
"I don't look at barriers,"
"I just look at his strengths."
Hornets guard, Roberto Nelson had nice things to say about Togashi, too:
"He's 5'6, but he's tough, man,"
"He pressures you and moves quick off the ball screens. He's able to make double moves and stuff like that."
Nelson got the chance to face Togashi in a previous match, and explicitly saw what Togashi's got.
