Right after big man LeBron James announced his transfer to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Forward Chris Bosh has also made a statement informing that he has decided to stay with his current team, the Miami Heat. Due to this, a lot has been speculating whether the friendship between the two has turned sour.
But Chris Bosh was quick to dissolve all worries saying "we're going to be brothers regardless. No bitter feelings, man. It's all love."
Bosh was at Ghana with his family on a vacation when James sent him a text informing him ahead of time that he has decided to go back to the Cavaliers. Wade also received a similar text coming from the four-time MVP. Both Bosh and James have been together under the Miami Heat's franchise for four years and although he did not expect the decision that James made, he still do not hold any ill feeling towards him.
Bosh had numerous and tempting offers from other team's like Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers but Bosh chose to go back to the Heats under a max contract worth $118 million.
According to him "[There were] very enticing offers. There was some surprising advances made in everything, but I ultimately decided to stay in Miami. I think it was the right choice. I benefit from it, the team will benefit from it, from here. My heart was in Miami. I wanted to be there and keep my family there and build relationships and really keep building on something special."
Bosh will be with the Miami for another five years and will be 35 years old by then. Bosh decision to go back was fueled by his desire to make his family happy, just like how James decided to sign up for Cleveland. For Bosh "We're all making decisions to make ourselves happy and our families happy." He added "That doesn't take away what we've done together and the special bond that we created and the special bond that we have and just all the memories that we had together. That will never change. As you move forward, you appreciate those moments and keep going forward."
