Blake Lively graces the cover of Vogue magazine's August issue. Photographed by Mario Testino, the actress dons several laid-back outfits that complement the gorgeous backdrop of Jackson Hole Wyoming. This is the third time that the actress appears on the revered fashion magazine's cover.
In the interview, the biggest Blake Lively news that was discussed was the fact that the actress is about to launch her very own lifestyle website. Preserve, the actress' first foray into the entrepreneur world is expected to debut next week.
The website is a digital monthly magazine, e-commerce enterprise, and video blog, that chronicles and pays tribute to artisans and crafters who are creating things with their own hands. Whether pillows, food, glasswear, bags, and the like, the website will be brimming with content about small-batch products.
Before her forays into the lifestyle website world, Lively is of course known for playing Serena van der Woodsen in the TV show Gossip Girl for six years. She has also become a fashion icon, and it was very much evident in her recent trip to Cannes. In the film festival, Blake Lively made the news all the time in her stunning red carpet gowns, as she accompanied her husband Ryan Reynolds for the screening of his movie, The Captive.
The Gossip Girl star anticipates that there will be some people who will try to demean her newest venture. But Lively isn't worried about that. In the interview with Vogue, she explains, "I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will say horrible things. I'm sure this interview will be picked apart. But you can't worry about it."
There will also be more than a few comments comparing her lifestyle website to that of Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, which is also lifestyle site. To this, the 26-yearold jumps in on Paltrow's side. "I'm always the first person to defend Gwyneth Paltrow. Or any woman in a position of power, like Martha Stewart or Oprah, who gets burned. Because they have paved the path for so many other women who are doing something they believe in."
