There's a new Adele and One Republic collaboration in the works; the 26-year old Grammy Award winner pairing up with Ryan Tedder.
Adele is pooling the talent of One Republic's Ryan Tedder on her new album, the latest since her Grammy-winning "21," released in 2011.
Tedder has impressive credits under his belt, collaborating with verified successes in the music industry, including Beyonce and Leona Lewis.
A source for the British newspaper The Mirror report the collaboration started as early as last week, with Tedder flying in from the US to help Adele in the recording.
"Adele and Ryan have been in the studio for most of last week. He has been working with her on recording some songs. He is over from the States for a gig that was taking place at Edinburgh castle last night. So he coincided that with meeting up with Adele."
The project is in the works, with the pair digging in for a long haul at Air Studios in Hampstead. "She is delighted to have such a talented writer and performer working with her and for Ryan it is a massive privilege."
The Adele and One Republic collaboration is much anticipated, her hiatus in between album's suspected to be caused by a "happy writer's block." Her previous releases, "19" and "21" explored the somber side of love and of life.
"This will definitely get her fans excited. Now they have an inkling that there is something actually happening, there will be lots of people looking forward to hearing the album," according to the source.
Tedder's approach to the Adele and One Republic collaboration (which she has yet to confirm) is more practical. In last week's interview with Fault magazine:
"You have to have hits all the time: that is your currency. You have to have the most cutting edge, innovative, driving, fantastical songs that the world instantly reacts to. They don't need a lot of thought, and you don't have to dig deep." (yahoo.com)
