"American Horror Story" season 4 teaser irked the network and asked the maker of the fan-made video to take it down, as creator Ryan Murphy provided a preview to the series by posting a photo of the two-headed freak.
Kellen Moore and his team created the "American Horror Story" season 4 teaser that irked the network and he weighed in on the issue in the latest story fromCosmopolitan.
"This is the most frustrating part - Fox went ahead and claimed ownership of my promo. They're claiming that they [have the copyright] to the content and I think that's just not true," he said.
They went ahead with a 'takedown notification' and had it removed from YouTube; they've had it pulled from everywhere, and the thing that's insane is that, really, the only thing in my promo that I believe Fox technically owns is the FX logo at the end - but even that I 'built,'" he added.
He said the FX logo was made through a vector file and he rendered a 3D image out of it.
"I mean, since when are YouTube videos pulled because of a logo? I really wish Fox could have come forward and said, 'Hey, we didn't make this, but congrats,' or whatever, and just embraced it rather than make it disappear," he added.
Kellen Moore then emailed FX executives after finding out that the "American Horror Story" season 4 teaser irked the network.
"I have emailed [FX executives] and I was very friendly, saying, 'Hi, I'm responsible for this, please let me know if you'd like to chat further.' I haven't heard back from any," he said.
Meanwhile, creator Ryan Murphy posted a black and white image on Twitter about the two-headed freak played by Sarah Paulson, along with the caption: "Dot and Bette's first day." Sarah Paulson's back was to the camera and the surroundings hint that she's in a hospital room.
