New details for AMC's The Walking Dead season 5 have been revealed as showrunner Robert Kirkman tease fans on what's in store for episode 1.
Entertainment Weekly conducted an interview with Robert Kirkman and told them several details on what's going to happen in episode1 of The Walking Dead season 5.
Kirkman revealed that Season 5 Episode 1 will take place right in the train car where Season 4 left off and that it's "very much going to focus on the story of Terminus".
"There's a lot of big revelations that haven't really come out that I think people are gonna be pretty startled by," he said.
"There's a couple other revelations that I think people might've gotten a little bit of a lead on. We'll definitely be defining those in some cool ways and confirming some theories and shooting down others, which is very exciting."
"But I think the coolest thing about coming back to Season 5 is that we really hit the ground running," he continued. "What I mean by that is that we very quickly deal with the situation that we left them in - this trapped, victim situation where they're kind of at the mercy of the people of Terminus. We really kind of expand the story from there very rapidly, so I think this is going to be a pretty fast-paced season with quite a bit going on."
He further adds that some of the core characters in show will die this season.
"In a lot of cases, I've had to kill these characters twice because I had already killed them in the comic."
Rumors have spread across the internet that Dary Dixon, Glenn Rhee, Carol Peletier, and Beth Greene will die in season 5.
Daryls possible death in show shocked Walking Dead fans and viewers alike as a photo of him being tied-up and gagged has surface the net.
In an interview with EW Radio, Kirkman seemingly confirmed Daryl death this season.
"In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them," Kirkman said. "Oh, and Daryl dies."
But whether this is true or not has not yet to be revealed.
As for Glenn, Kirkman has revealed that Steven Yuen's character will die a gruesome death similar to his comic book counterpart.
THR conducted an interview with Kirkman regarding Glenn's death in the show and new cast member Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel.
"I absolutely love it. It means people care, and people are paying attention. So keep those rumors flying," Kirkman said. "Every season we try to bring in new characters that add something in their own way to the cast, much in the way that Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) brought a new narrative and more character dynamics to the show. Seth Gilliam's character -- whoever it may be -- brings a lot of conflict and really cool character traits to the mix."
Finally, Carol and Beth's death were hinted on the first episode of season 5 were in they Rick Grimes and others escaped the Terminus, but a photo from the Spoiling Dead fans Facebook page revealed that Carol was hit by a car in the show's bts.
