Farrah Franklin, a former member of Destiny's Child, was arrested in Myrtle Beach over the weekend for disorderly conduct, according to ABC News.
Before she was arrested, 33-year-old Farrah Franklin had been drinking with NFL players Daquan Bowers and Ricky Sapp, according to police reports. Bowers reportedly told police that he had flown Franklin into town from her home in California to spend time with him.
To Bowers' dismay, the night took an ugly turn.
After Bowers, Sapp and the ex Destiny's Child singer went out drinking on Sunday, they reportedly went back to Sapp's home where a heavily intoxicated Franklin began "yelling, slamming doors and refused to stop when asked."
Bowers and Sapp called the police when Franklin refused to calm down. Online records show that she was arrested and put into the Horry County jail just before 5 a.m.
Bowers and Sapp both reportedly told police they thought that Franklin had been doing drugs, according to TMZ. Bowers reportedly became suspicious of Franklin because she would "go to the bathroom for extended periods of time."
Although police described Farrah Franklin to be "unsteady on her feet," the singer reportedly denied any use of drugs.
Officers said they found Franklin lying in a neighbor's yard and told the police she "did not have anywhere else to go and was planning on sleeping in the woods."
Franklin, who joined Destiny's Child along with Michelle Williams in 2001, was reportedly released from jail around noon on Sunday after posting $280 bond.
