A lot has been wondering whether the Miami Heat would be signing Mario Chalmers back to the team having shown poor performance during the NBA finals. But Chalmer fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Heat has just re-signed him back to the franchise.

Chalmers was personally hard on himself after the finals knowing that his lack to performer could be a reason why the team failed. He talked to reporters sighting his disappointment.

Now that he has been resigned, Chalmers is now back to his A game ready to face new challenges. For him, the finals against San Antonio Spurs are something that needs to be put in the past. He said "You just take a couple of days to think about it and then you get over it."

Chalmers poor performance really took a toll to the player. He had thoughts that Heat's will not sign him again and he considered the offers from other teams including the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls.

But in the end, his heart belongs to the Miami Heat. He said "I had conversations with other teams. Everybody was waiting to see what LeBron (James) was going to do ... In my heart, I wanted to stay, but at the same time if I felt like if I had a better position somewhere else I was going to take it."

Chalmers was also surprised over James decision to leave the Miami Heat. Though with that feeling, him and James has already talked since then and he only wished him well over his decision.

Chalmers was close to James, he said ""We were surprised. I never thought anybody would want to leave Miami for Cleveland but you grow up and you move on. That's what happened and there's no love lost."

He said that he is looking forward to playing against James when the NBA Season starts. He still believe the Miami will stand a chance for the finals as they still have a strong team with them. He said "We still got D-Wade and C.B. still got people on the team that can help us get back to where we were ... We've got a lot of good pieces that can help fill that spot LeBron left. We got a team that's going to work together."
