Heavyweight Dereck Chisora was supposed to face Tyson Fury this coming Saturday in Manchester for a main event fight. But the 30 year old boxer had to pull out from the even due to a fractured hand. It is because of this that the Billy Joe Saunders and Emanuele Blandamura's matchup for the European middleweight title will be move up as the main event.

Chisora release a statement last Monday with regards to his decision to pull out from the fight saying "I can't tell you how disappointed I am to have to pull out of the fight against Fury, but it is on the advice of my specialist that I have to do this."

He added "I'm sorry for the fans who will get to miss this great fight between me and Tyson this Saturday, but once my hand is healed and I'm given the all-clear to train and punch again, I'll be working on the new date for the fight. I was in fantastic shape and had a great training camp, probably the best so far in my career, and was looking forward to getting revenge on Fury, but that will have wait. I'm sorry to have to pull out on Fury, as I know that he had been training hard and it was going to be a great fight between two top athletes and I hope we can get it on again soon."

The British professional boxer has 24 total fights under his belt. Among those fights, he had won 20 of them with 4 losses. Chisora started his professional career in February of 2007 where he scored a a second round TKO against István Kecskés. His career started great winning three more fights all by decision. Chisora finished the year with a December victory over Neil Simpson at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London's Docklands leaving him with an 8-0 record at the end of his second year as a professional.

It can be noted that Chisora lost to Fury last 2011 via a unanimous decision and this should have been a rematch that he was looking for in order to claim the title.
