It's been ten years since the award-winning HBO series had their pilot premiere and releasing the "Entourage" movie is just a perfect gift for their fans. However, their followers still have to wait until summer of 2015 to catch the movie in theaters.
"Entourage" bid farewell in September 2011 with eight seasons and 96 episodes. Just when we thought we won't see the Vinnie Chase and the boys together again, Mark Wahlberg spilled out the awesome news. People are wondering why it took them three years before they decided to produce a movie and here's what the executive producer has to say.
The 43-year old actor told MTV News, "It took a long time to get it written, get it right, and we got a fantastic script. Warner Bros. is very excited about it. All the guys are excited. Getting everybody in the same place at the same time has been tough as well."
A few months ago, the producers announced that they have finished filming the "Entourage" movie. While the actors focus on their other projects, Jerry Ferrara, who starred as Turtle, paid tribute to the 10th anniversary of the HBO series.
The 24-year old actor shared his experience working with Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase), Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold), Kevin Connolly (Eric Murphy), and Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase) to his followers as well as his first episode jitters.
Ferrara wrote on his blog, "As the opening title music played my mind started to go faster than the Lincoln was driving." He added, "The show starts and I am the first character you ever see in Entourage (as fate would have it I am also the last face you see in the finale)."
The actor also revealed, "The show is moving like a blur to me now. Every scene I'm in I cringe a bit thinking of all the things I could have done differently." He said, "There are still to this day scenes of mine in the pilot I just can't watch. Not only can I not watch, I can't even hear it."
What he wrote was really refreshing because not many people know that actors, even how good they are, still get anxious and nervous about their roles. And to fast forward the years of Entourage, Jerry Ferrara said: "I've since gone on to do some other cool projects but the fact that we got to shoot the Entourage Movie still boggles my mind. Now that OLD JERRY is who I am, I enjoyed each and every moment of shooting the movie with my friends."
