Drama on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" was heightened when it was announced that Phaedra Parks' husband Apolla Nida would reportedly be going to jail for eight years.
There are now rumors circulating the Phaedra Parks might be looking to divorce her husband for the sake of the couple's sons, according to the Daily Mail.
The RHOA star reportedly "wanted to leave" Apolla Nida after he was convicted of federal bank fraud and identity theft, according to In Touch Weekly.
"If they never started a family, she would have filed for divorce long ago. But this is going to push Phaedra to act quickly," an insider for the publication stated.
Apolla Nida seems to be aware that things with his wife might not last, according to Radaronline. When asking during an interview with Atlanta's B100 radio station about whether his marriage with Phaedra Parks would survive during his time in prison, Nida reportedly said, "I doubt it."
He added, "I mean, my wife didn't even f**king show up to my sentencing. I'm still salty about that."
While Phaedra Parks and Apolla Nida divorce rumors circulate, the RHOA show must go on.
"Bravo is getting some shooting done with them before Apollo goes to prison. They began shooting the new season and they will be filming some stuff with Apollo about the situation," a Bravo insider told the gossip website.
Despite the divorce rumors and the reported ongoing conflict with her husband, the RHOA cast member is going strong.
"It sounds like she's just trying to keep busy and that's her way of staying strong," a source for Radaronline reportedly stated.
