Oh, snap! Former reality show star Lauren Conrad bared her claws on Monday, July 21, calling out Allure magazine for calling her "basic."
The former The Hills cast member, who went from reality TV starlet to fashion designer and businesswoman, went on Twitter to share a photo from the publication. In a page called Typecasting under the Beauty & the Beat section, Allure cites four different types of women and gives descriptions and examples of stars who represent the personality.
Former Disney darling Vanessa Hudgens was dubbed the "Bohemian Hippie" while Man Repeller's Leandra Medine was christened "Street Stylist." Meanwhile, Conrad was placed under the "Basic" category, which essentially meant she's just like any other regular female with no personality.
"Basic: Made famous by Kreayshawn, and viral by Youtube, the Basic woman is remarkably unremarkable," the caption read. "What's noteworthy about her style is its very plainness. Except to her. She swears those red-soled shoes are cutting-edge."
Ouch!
The Kreayshawn mention refers to the rapper's hit "Gucci Gucci," which talks about "basic bitches."
The article also pokes fun at the "Basic" girl's hairstyle, calling it 'sausage curls' and that she smells like 'vanilla-cupcake body milk,' also a reference from the Kreayshawn song.
The insulting piece obviously irked Conrad, who uploaded the photo on Twitter and shot back, "I definitely just got called a basic b*tch! Haha! Sausage curls!? Really @Allure_magazine?"
As of this writing, Allure has yet to comment on the diss. But don't you worry, LC, we know you're anything but ordinary!
