Everyone Gets A Gun Video Proposal Earns A Lot Of Ire From Anti-Gun Advocates; Some Others In Favor of Gun-Shooting Classes For Children [VIDEO]

Everyone Gets A Gun Video was just recently posted by NRA commentator, Billy Johnson. As seen in the video, Johnson is featured discussing a thought experiment where gun ownership, as well as gun possession, becomes a mandatory thing for everyone.

In various social media networks, the public is divided in their opinions. One side is packed with anti-gun advocates who have become quite upset with the notion of mandating gun-shooting classes in school. Johnson proposes in the Everyone Gets A Gun video that the child will not be able to move on to the next grade level without passing the shooting class. With this said, it would seem that he is pushing for making gun-shooting part of the school curriculum.

Others, just like Amada Marcotte of Slate, are a bit indignant with the Everyone Gets A Gun idea. They believe that shooting crimes are kept in check through the ignorance associated with guns and gun use. However, it would seem that they have failed to realize that the Everyone Gets A Gun idea actually has merit from the domain of learning theory.

Similar ideas have arisen from this Everyone Gets A Gun proposal. As suggested by some bloggers, there could be programs in school that give the children an opportunity to become aggressive, but in a relatively controlled manner, such as in football, martial arts classes, and boxing. However, outside of these school programs, the kids are not given the same opportunity to practice aggression.

Those who are in favor of the Everyone Gets A Gun plan believe that teaching the children the appropriate and acceptable outlet when it comes to gun-shooting actually places the behavior of shooting a gun on stimulus control. Never give the command to shoot whenever the child is outside of class. Bloggers have mentioned that such technique works for barking dogs, training them to bark only on command, which they believe basically holds similar principles with what is being taught in martial arts classes.
