Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller was in full-on revelation mode at the Comic-con 2014 panel for his show. "We're pretty generous with the spoilers," the executive producer and show creator promised. "We will be talking fairly openly about events in Season 3 and hopefully getting people excited."

The show, which is based on the infamous cannibal created by writer Thomas Harris, and popularized in the movie Silence of the Lambs, with Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, was renewed for a new season back in May.

Hannibal season 3 will of course pick up where the previous season left off: just after almost everybody gets butchered, and Hannibal the Cannibal himself escaping out of the country.

Fuller disclosed a particularly juicy Hannibal season 3 spoiler to the delight of the Comic-con crowd, "We'll have a surprise guest on the panel that will reveal the fate of an actor whose life was in the balance earlier in Season 2," Fuller shared. "Someone from episode seven who got shot in the face and was presumed dead." This is of course, Dr. Frederick Chilton (Raul Esparza).

Another Hannibal season 3 spoiler, aside from the reappearance killed off characters, is the appearance of brand new ones that are set to be written into Hannibal season 3. Several of them are characters from Harris' books, that have not had been on the show yet.

"There's a run of episodes where we have quite a few cool characters coming from the literature," Fuller says. "So, in the second episode, we introduce Commander Pazzi, who was played by Giancarlo Giannini in the Ridley Scott film, in episode 3, we introduce Lady Murasaki and in episode 4, we introduce Cordell."

"There's going to be a lot of fun Easter eggs for those who are big fans of the books, knowing that those characters are going to be leaping from the page onto their television screen," he adds.
