"Guardians of the Galaxy" actor Chris Pratt recently sat down with Yahoo to respond to fan questions submitted via Tumblr.
One fan asked Pratt on how he was able to get rid of his weight within just six months for his role as Peter Quill and Star-Lord.
Pratt suggested that people should "cut the crap out of their diet" and get moving for at least an hour every single day. He also revealed that he understands how some people struggle with their weight for most of their life, even though it generally took him just six months to get his desired weight, Yahoo reported.
"If you get after it, I swear to God, you can do it," he said. Other than this, Pratt, who landed his first shirtless role in "Zero Dark Thirty" suggested that six months is all it takes for some people as long as you work hard and eat right, according to Fitmole.
Contrary to other people's beliefs, Pratt is also into weight lifting and suggested that people who are trying to lose weight should also lift heavy.
He also suggested that people do not restrict their food intake because this is not the best way to get rid of some pounds. Instead, eating right without cutting down on calories is still the best way to go for the actor.
If these weight loss tips are still not enough, Pratt also suggested that people stop stuffing their body with protein and food, thinking that just because they are exercising, their body needs it more. When it comes to bulking up, Pratt believes that there's no need for people to consume more calories than what their body really needs on a daily basis, the same publication noted.
But perhaps, one of the best tips he shared was that those who want to lose weight may still enjoy a glass of beer every now and then.
