Cleveland Indians Ryan Raburn Makes The Worst Play Of All Time! What Did He Do?

There are good baseball players and there are those who play like Ryan Raburn. This is not to spite Ryan Raburn of the Cleveland Indians, but the dud that he performed in his latest game has been labeled as the worst baseball play of all time.

To be fair, however, outfielder Ryan Raburn did make an amazingly wonderful attempt on a fly ball to left hit by Kansas City Royals' Mike Moustakas in the bottom of the eighth inning on Thursday night. Sadly, though, the events that took place after Ryan Raburn's dive were cruel.

Ryan Raburn seemed to have dived in fair territory. Even if he was not able to come up with a successful catch, he was able to keep the ball in front of him and seemed to have contained Moustakas to a double. However, baseball critics were not shy in expressing their disgust with Ryan Raburn's throw. He spiked into the ground approximately a body length away on the warning track. The ball limply rolled into left field, where none of the Cleveland Indians were located.

Moustakas was alert and immediately started to run again. The Tribe was left helpless to do anything about this feat. Score it a double, and was categorized as an error that fell on Ryan Raburn. A brief shot of right-hander Corey Kluber just standing there, with his face totally expressionless, was a humorous addition to the string of events. Kluber was able to take the game into the seventh, but was not able to get any offensive support. What happened then led the game to a scoreless tie.

It would seem that Ryan Raburn caught the back of his hand on the fence. Still, video clips of the game showed that the spike was all him. Instinct compelled Ryan Raburn to throw the ball back into the field in a bit of a rush. However, throwing the ball toward 2nd base, where Moustakas had already advanced, made absolutely no sense.
