Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard wedding will allegedly be featured in Season 9 of "19 Kids and Counting." TLC has not confirmed the news yet but according to The Original Duggar Family Blog, "19 Kids and Counting" has been renewed for season 9 this fall. The blog stated that fans can look forward to new episodes including Jill and Derick's wedding.
The blog noted that both Jill and Derick had their say in the arrangements for their special event. According to Lily and Ellie, who run the site, the couple had a clear idea of what they wanted for their wedding.
"I just love watching a bride and groom [who] know what they want and just needing to translate that to a wedding coordinator and then have the wedding coordinator execute it. They really were that awesome team that said, 'Here's what we want. Can we do it?' So we did," Sierra, one of the party planners that helped with the Duggar family wedding said.
Reportedly, the party planners had about three months to plan the wedding, and they were told as many as 3,000 people could attend the celebration.
"I encouraged there to not be a whole lot of Duggar helpers. It's such a special time that if you're not careful, you can forget that it's a special time, and you miss out on the fun joy of being a family when your daughter's getting married. So if we had any questions, we really deferred to the oldest sisters or to Michelle," she said.
Jill's sisters helped out with the planning and focus on her.
"[Jessa] really is a great sister. She really supported Jill the entire time. You wouldn't even know that she had wedding on her radar, except that everybody knows that. Her and Jana and Jinger were all so incredible," Sierra said.
According to The Epoch Times, many of the wedding details were inspired from browsing Pinterest. These ideas include displaying the wedding dress worn by her mother and grandmother, and Derick's late father's police uniform. Reportedly, most of the supplies which are bought on Craigslist are pre-used from a wedding six months prior to theirs.
Food at the reception included 3,000 servings of cake, 2,000 cupcakes, 3,000 root beer floats, and lots of popcorn and pickles.
