Fans of the iron-clad superhero are starting to get more excited as the chances of having an "Iron Man 4" are increasing. After the success of the three "Iron Man" films, people still can't seem to get enough of Tony Stark and his alter ego. Of course, the success of the franchise won't be possible without Robert Downey Jr. Just like most fans would say, "Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man and no one else."
In fact, the 49-year old actor was recently named as Forbes' "Highest-Paid Actor in the World". Downey earned $75 million from "Iron Man 3" alone and still doesn't include his other movies and endorsements. Since the "Iron Man" film franchise is still very much in demand, then it will be a big loss for the producers not to do another sequel.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige finally talks about the possibility of "Iron Man 4". He told Collider, "Of course anything's a possibility. Who the heck knows?" Feige added, "We have a lot of work to go to finish Avengers 2. We have a lot of work for whatever Avengers 3 is, that's all folks need to know. Who knows what happens after that."
That statement got many Marvel fans excited because the producer finally shed some light to all the rumors. Now, it's Robert Downey Jr.'s turn to speak up about the "Iron Man 4" rumors. He told Entertainment Weekly, "It's down to Kevin (Feige, Marvel Studios president) and Ike (Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment) and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree."
The award-winning actor also said, "When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement." Let's really hope that Robert Downey Jr. will agree to what Kevin Feige will offer him in the future. I'm sure he will ask for more than $75 million knowing that he is irreplaceable. Do you want to see Robert Downey Jr. return for "Iron Man 4" or are do you think he should give up his role to a younger actor?
