"The Walking Dead" TV series thrilled fans of the popular AMC post zombie-apocalypse horror drama that flocked to the Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, which was patterned more closely to the comic version, said its creator Robert Kirkman.

The entire family - crew and cast - responsible for the "The Walking Dead" TV series converged with their fans in the hall H of the convention location. During the discussion, Gale Ann Hurd, the show's producer, divulged details from the upcoming season. She said that they have made bold moves in terms of the characters and the set props used, NME reported.

According to NY Daily News, Hurd, was among the first three people in their group to go on stage, along with Darryl (Norman Reedus) and Beth (Emily Kinney). Hurd began the discussion by first promising the attendees that the season 5 will expound on the mystery behind Beth's kidnapping shown in the 4th season.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer picks up where the season 4 left off: It ended with a gruesome match at a gated community defended by snipers. According to NME, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group prepares to visit familiar places once more. This time they will be dealing with the treacherous Terminus gang, as they make their attempt to cure the zombie menace for good.

Going back to the Comic-Con discussion, New York Times shared that Reedus remained the crowd favorite. He interacted with his fans when he went on the dock, and they received him warmly.

But the preview of the "The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer and the presence of the cast were not the only perks that greeted and regaled the fans during the convention. The network also had a mock-up version of the BBQ at Terminus set up in certain areas of downtown California. The Terminus location is where the team confronts the group of people who may be...cannibals? Fans will find out when season 5 starts airing on October 5.
