Spain's top division president Javier Tebas has said that Spanish football will do their best to dominate the football scene, stealing it from the English Premier League.

The La Liga boss has said that he will not stop, and he even said they want the "best 500 players."

Two of the most notable transfers from England to Spain in the last two seasons were Gareth Bale at £85.3 million or $144 million, and Luisa Suarez for £75 million or $127 million.

"We are not going to stop. We want the best 500 players," said the La Liga president.

Their English rival, the Premier League earned as much as £3.018 billion or $5.1 trillion (!) on the domestic TV deals alone.

"We want to make sure we have the biggest clubs and also the best players from the whole world in our league," Tebas said.

"It is impossible to compare us with the Premier League from a commercial perspective," said Tebas, acknowledging their weaknesses. "What we are trying to do is get closer to them.

"We have been in Asia but right now our aim is to bring more teams from La Liga to this part of the world. We are working on this, it's a long-term project and is why we are here in the United States.

"There is a lot of support out here for Real Madrid and Barcelona. Our goal is to bring more teams here from La Liga so the football supporters in the United States can get used to them as well."

The top five all- time most expensive football transfer are the following: Bale from Tottenham to Real Madrid at £85.3, Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United to Real Madrid at £8o, Suarez from Liverpool to Barcelona at £75, James Rodriguez from Monaco to Real Madrid at £71, and Kaka from AC Milan to Real Madrid at £56.
