The "Mad Max Fury Road" trailer, which is the fourth installment of the franchise, awed fans present at the San Diego Comic-Con 2014 when home studio Time Warner-owned Warner Brothers revealed the clip for the first time. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, who both sport the skinhead look for the movie, topbill the cast of the dystopian action-adventure flick.
The tale of Mad Max, as reported by CBC News, started back in 1979 with Mel Gibson playing the title role. Its plot revolved around the struggle of Max Rockatansky, a police officer, who courageously combats the tough crooks of the Australian outback.
Once again, Australian director Gorge Miller, who also directed the original, takes charge of the latest version. Based on the observation of Edition CNN, the "Mad Max Fury Road" trailer presents an exciting face of the desert-based action film after being given a 21st century makeover.
The "Mad Max Fury Road" trailer opens with the introduction of a long-haired Max with his back to the camera, as he stood looking out at the wide expanse of an arid ochre wasteland. Before driving off in his car, he turns to the camera, throwing the audience a cold glance.
A band of riotous criminals then chase after him and fire at his car. After his car is thrown off course, he is captured, chained, and dragged behind their vehicle en route to their hideout. Everything goes fast from here onwards; as an exciting assemblage of scenes depicting his ordeal and the heart-stopping car chase across the wastelands flash before the screen.
CBC News reported Miller's comment to Reuters about the plotline of his movie. Miller said the characters in the story are divided in two: good and bad. The distressing dystopian background shows a world where everyone could be guilty of wanting to murder others for food or gasoline. Such hardships highlight the need to fight literally for survival.
"Mad Max Fury Road" takes the high road leading to the theaters on May 15, 2015, Edition CNN reported.
