Maksim Chmerkovskiy will no longer return to the 19th season of internationally famous show, "Dancing with the Stars." Well, at least not as a dancer.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy said during his appearance on "The View", "I'm done dancing. I feel like it's time. When I came back to the show, it was not the same. I looked at it and thought they can do much more and better. I was taking up a huge spot."
Maksim Chmerkovskiy won the famous Mirrorball trophy with Meryl Davis in the 18th season of "Dancing with the Stars." He added, "'Dancing' never had a couple like Meryl and me."
Maksim Chmerkovskiy also said during his interview with TVGuide.com back in May that he the season that he won in would be his last season on the dance floor. He specifically stated, "I personally don't see myself doing it again. I'm not saying I want to part ways with the show. I just don't know if I have it in me to feel what I felt this season."
However, fans strongly believe that Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be leaving the dance floor, but will be making his way to the judges' table, especially if Len Goodman does decide to leave the panel. Goodman revealed in the finale that this was something he has been planning to do. Moreover, Maksim Chmerkovskiy already knows a thing or two about judging, as he was selected to be a guest judge on the 17th season of the Indian version of "Dancing with the Stars."
If he would not be a judge, though, Maksim Chmerkovskiy can also become a mentor, just like how things have turned for Randy Jackson on "American Idol. The 19th season of "Dancing with the Stars" has been scheduled to return to the small screen on the 15th of September, still on ABC.
