9 Unhealthiest Meals In U.S. Chain Restaurants Revealed

The nine dishes that we love but are the unhealthiest for our bodies will break your heart.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest released its annual Xtreme Eating awards today, featuring chain restaurant dishes that are simply the worst when it comes to calories, fat, sodium and sugar.

CSPI reviews the menus and nutritional information for over 200 of the top U.S. chain restaurants and ranks dishes that you should stay away from, according to Fox News.

The Cheesecake Factory's Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake ranked No. 9 at 1,500 calories while the Prime New York Steak Contadina Style dish at Maggiano's Little Italy came in at No. 8 on the list of unhealthiest meals.

Next on the list is the Big "Hook" Up at Joe's Crab Shack, which comes with seafood and crab balls with cream cheese, jalapenos and more.

Chevy's Super Cinco Combo comes in at No. 6 while the Small Deep Dish Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza takes the No. 5 spot.

Eating one of these dishes at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is reportedly about the same as eating three Pizza Hut Personal pan Pepperoni Pizzas, according to CSPI.

The Cheesecake Factory made its way onto the list of unhealthiest meals once again with its delicious, creamy Farfalle with Chicken and Roasted Garlic dish.

Sitting at No. 3 is The Big Slab at Famous Dave's, which comes with 1.5 pounds of meat as well as a cornbread muffin, fries and baked beans. We know, your heart can't take even hearing about it.

The Cheesecake Factory made quite an accomplishment this year by making it on the list a third time with its Bruleed French Toast with optional bacon.

"Don't just blame the 200-calorie side of bacon or ham. It's that largely invisible custard-like filling in the bread, plus the quarter cup of butter-infused syrup. To neutralize the calories in your brunch, you'd have to swim laps for seven hours," the nonprofit health and consumer advocacy group stated, according to the LA Times.

At No. 1 sits the Peppercorn Monster Burger from Red Robin. Yes, this burger is a true monster as it comes with a salted caramel milkshake and an order of steak fries.

It would take a 12-hour walk to burn off the calories your body acquires from this dish.

Despite the fact that these foods are obviously unhealthy, people still come in to eat these meals because they love them, despite what they might be doing to our bodies.

Although The Cheesecake Factory was seen on the list three times, people will continue to visit the chain-restaurant.

"Many of our guests come in and want to celebrate and not be concerned with calories. Others want to share their dish - and we love it when guests share - that's a great sign that our portions are generous - and a large percentage of our guests take home leftovers for lunch the next day," stated Alethea Rowe, a spokesperson for the chain, in an emailed statement.
