Casey Kasem secret funeral speculations were raised as the radio host's daughters were informed by several witnesses that her late father's wife was reportedly seen attending a funeral in Los Angeles a few days ago, said a report from Daily Mail.
Kerri, along with her other siblings, fears that a Casey Kasem secret funeral has taken place and that they will no longer be able to get a glimpse of their late father.
Casey Kasem's secret burial news started when his 60-year-old widow, Jean, was allegedly seen by witnesses with her daughter, Liberty, in a burial service over the weekend.
A report from Music MSN said Kerri and her sister Julie appeared on "Access Hollywood Live" on Monday to reveal the news about Casey Kasem's alleged secret funeral.
A day before the sisters' guesting in "Access Hollywood Live", Jean had appeared in CNN to say that she knew where her late husband's body was.
Kerri Kasem said, "The last I heard... is that he's probably buried here (in Los Angeles) and she's just playing games. This is not a shocker. She put on the death certificate that she's been living in Jerusalem for 18 years, she also told the funeral home that she was going to take him to France and put him there... It's just games. She thinks she's gonna upset us and that's not gonna happen. It's sad."
"The last thing I heard from a neighbor was that they saw the family going to a funeral, and it was probably right here in Los Angeles. It could've been another funeral, but that's the closest thing that we've gotten," she said.
"Her lawyers specifically told us, 'When your father is buried, we will let you know where...' We will never know where he is buried unless we can get a private detective or lawyers involved... It's a game," added Julie.
"The last we heard he's going to be buried in Montreal, Canada. He has no family there, I don't think he's ever been there," the two added.
A development reported in Daily News said Casey Kasem's body has been shipped to Montreal, which is allegedly the hometown of a man who is said to be the lover of Jean.
Casey Kasem's daughters said that what their stepmother has been doing "is nothing new", saying: "it's been like this for 34 years... The silver lining is that we got to be with our dad at the end of his life and we know his spirit is here, and that's the most important thing."
Police officials in Santa Monica are still investigating where Casey Kasem has been laid to rest, said Kerri, as they're still hoping to complete an autopsy that his widow started.
The radio veteran's death has been surrounded by intrigues as Casey Kasem's children, led by Kerri, said their father was being kept away from them by their stepmother Jean, all while being sick with Parkinson's and dementia.
A court battle ensued and Kerri was given the chance to have doctors examine her father. It was then discovered that he had been removed from a Santa Monica hospital by Jean and taken out of California.
Casey was 82 when he died last June 15 at a hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington. His second wife of 34 years, Jean, is responsible for the missing body.
According to People magazine, Kerri then sent a lawyer to Gaffney Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Tacoma, Washington, where Casey Kasem's body was confirmed by police to be missing.
