All is well for the number one track and fielder of this time. After resting from competition to recuperate from a leg injury, Bolt is now back in action. The Jamaican born star wowed the crowd with a tremendous performance during the Commonwealth games. Bolt received the baton coming from Nickel Ashmeade to secure the team's 4x100-meter place advancing to the next round. The quartets finish the relay in a short 38.98 sec.
The Commonwealth games is Bolt's first competitive action this year saying "As long as there's athletes and there's eight lanes there's always competition. ''For me, it's something to add to my accolades over the years." He was not able to join the individual sprints at his first Commonwealth Games due to his left foot injury.
Although Bolt was plagued with a controversy surrounding him when a newspaper let out news that bolt dissed Glasgow, he still showed confidence and appreciation from the 40,000-plus crowd who greeted him..
He said "It's a lie so I was never worried (about the reception). I was just looking forward to coming out here and showing the people that I'm here to have fun, compete and give my best performance."
He has been quoted by Times of London as saying that he was "not really" having fun in Glasgow. Bolt reiterated "I would never have used that word. The people have been fun and I've had some great laughs."
He added "It felt like I was in the London Games at the Olympics. I love competing in front of a crowd which is really loud, so for me it was just brilliant. Injury-wise everything was good. Otherwise I felt a little bit sluggish, but it's okay. "
Bolt seems contended with himself and happy to be just playing at the games saying "I'm just happy to be part of the relay team and compete at the Commonwealth Games. I love coming out here and competing with my team. In individual sport it's always good to compete with a team, feel the vibes, enjoy and laugh and have fun and just be one country."
Bolt fans are looking forward to his round of competition in the Commonwealth Games.
