Nick Diaz's next fight is not that appealing for the elder Diaz Brother as the 31-year old Stockton, California native deems himself as a non-violent person.

Nick Diaz's next fight will be against the longest-reigning middleweight champion of the UFC, Anderson Silva. They will be squaring off as the headline bout at UFC 183, scheduled for January 31st 2015 in Las Vegas.

While many consider Nick Diaz as "MMA's bad boy", the outspoken welterweight contender was not in his usual chest-thumping brash self as he explained the real reason why he is into a physically hurting sport like mixed martial arts.

"When people say they go out there to hurt someone, or they love it, they are full of sh*t," Diaz said in a report by MMA Mania. "I do what I do because I have to do it and for whatever reasons are behind it."

"A lot of it has to do with martial arts, and if there was ever any quit in me, I wouldn't have made it this far anyway," he revealed.

Nick Diaz's next fight against Anderson Silva will be the 37th fight of his 13-year professional career. As a veteran of the sport, the elder Diaz brother has encountered all types of fighters.

That being said, he believes that each one he has faced carries a false sense of bravado, particularly when they are about to enter their respective match-ups.

"A lot of it is a front and they like to put on a good look in front of their family and that way they have a positive effect on the people around them," Diaz said. "So they keep their mouth shut and put on a smile or they say bull***t like they like to hurt people."

Ironically for the former number one 170-pound contender, he admits that being in the "hurt business" does not exactly appeal to him.

"I'm a non-violent person, I don't want to hurt nobody and I don't especially enjoy violence," he said.
