Singer Taylor Swift just made someone's day over the weekend.
The 24-year-old has always been on the headlines because of her singing career and tabloid-ready love life, but what many people don't know is that Swift's heart of gold is not exclusively for her celebrity boyfriends alone.
In fact, on Sunday, the pop starlet made a surprise visit to brighten up the day of 6-year-old Jordan Lee Nickerson, who is currently battling several illnesses at the Boston Children's Hospital.
The young boy was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome, a rare genetic condition, when he was 9 months old, and then underwent open heart surgery when he was 18 months old. Two weeks ago, Jordan's parents learned that the youngster has leukemia.
Needless to say, the visit of his favorite singer was like a ray of sunshine to Jordan's day in the hospital.
Jordan's parents managed to film their son's excitement over Swift's visit.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner belted out her hit, "We are Never Getting Back Together," with Jordan. The young boy and his new friend also played an intense match of air hockey.
Jordan's parents said the singer hung out for several hours and even snacked on some Jell-O.
Swift has been known for taking time off from her busy schedule to spend a day with young patients dealing with terminal illnesses.
In April, the singer spent five hours at the Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, where she met with some of the patients and played a song on her guitar for the patients in the psychiatric unit.
