The horror movies 2014 line-up will never fail to satisfy the scare-lust of horror movie fanatics everywhere, and in the months of August and September, two horror flicks are scheduled to make bloods run cold once more in their own uniquely horrific ways: "Jessabelle" and "The Green Inferno."

Jessabelle

Screenrant has provided a glimpse of what moviegoers can expect from "Jessabelle." With director Kevin Greutert at the helm, this flick revolves around the horrifying events that unfold in the life of Jessabelle.

Based on the gist from IMDB, the heroine is a Louisiana native who decides to recuperate in her hometown following near-fatal car accident. However, instead of relaxing her jangled nerves, she finds herself face to face with a tormented spirit that has long awaited her return.

Moviegoers will get the chance to find out the harrowing ordeal that awaits Jessabelle, one of the horror movies 2014 in this list, this August 29, as reported by Movie Moron.

The Green Inferno

For horror fanatics with a thing for living, breathing, ravenous flesh eaters (not zombies at all); the "The Green Inferno" is a definite must-see. This hair-raising cannibal action-horror flick makes it to the third spot of horror movies 2014 of The Entertainment Cheat Sheet.

As told in the Screenrant gist, the movie focuses on a team of college student activists who want to put an end to illegal clear-cutting in the Peruvian rainforests. However, matters turn out for the worse after their plane crashes in the jungle. They would have been better off perishing in the crash rather than face the tribe of cannibals who populate the area. Instead of expressing gratitude to the young environmental heroes, the tribe decide they would make better dinner entrees.

The cannibals start sharpening their knives for a sumptuous feast once "The Green Inferno" hits cinemas on September 5.
