"The Green Inferno" trailer leaves the viewers with bated breaths through scenes pieced cleverly together, as they are intended to give anyone's heart a jump. Eli Roth fans who delighted in his work in "Hostel" and "Cabin Fever" will surely get the gore fix in his new horror film of cannibalistic proportions.

Screenrant features two sets of "The Green Inferno" trailer. The first one introduces the viewers to the wild verdant surroundings characterizing the Peruvian rainforest, starting with a top view of the canopy. In the background, the sound of a man's peaceful humming overlapping with a woman's gasps and pleas can be heard. The camera then starts focusing on shots of items hinting at an on-going meal preparation. The whole scene dissolves to reveal a quote from Brian McQuery (Killer Film) that says "Nothing can prepare you for this."

The succession of images that follow in "The Green Inferno" trailer - a scene that shows a conversation between two of the cast whereby one of them asks, "Do you know what they're doing to us?" Female college students being mobbed by tribe people with their bodies painted red; the tied hands of a woman who directs her attention to the bottom of the screen to beg for help; and a yellow-faced tribe woman flashing a smug, satisfied smile - bear no trace of the anticipated violence. However, they were arranged in a way that effectively titillated the viewers' imagination.

In the "The Green Inferno" second trailer, viewers get a clearer picture of how the plot goes. The students are shown flying above the rainforest when the accident happens. The female lead wakes up to the sight of a scary tribe man. The scene fades out; the next clip shows the surviving students being taken to the village. Although no bloodshed is shown, the series of clips punctuated by screams already reveals the kind of gory fate that befalls the Ivy League do-gooders.

The Movie Moron commented that The Green Inferno trailer shows a preview of a movie whose daring is worth applauding despite appearing like a remake. Movie addicts drawn to gory films have the chance to view the feast preparation when the movie opens in the US on September 5, 2014.
