Football Transfer Rumors: Juan Cuadrado To Transfer To Manchester United? Coach Van Gaal Hints Colombian Star Bid

Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal may have slipped a little bit on his words when he might accidentally said that his team is bidding for Colombian star Juan Cuadrado.

Juan Cuadrado had a great World Cup together with his Golden Boot winner team mate, James Rodriguez. James is now part of the Real Madrid club in La Liga, but Cuadrado remains undecided.

Nevertheless, a lot of clubs have been associated with FC Barcelona for quite some time now. That Catalan club is known to be very generous in terms of football transfer fees.

Van Gaal hinted that talking about Cuadrado publicly will only make the 'price rise.'

Cuadrado did not release any statement regarding his transfer yet, even though the Premier League is just two weeks away.

"I cannot talk about Cuadrado, because if I say something about him the price will rise," he told reporters.

"We'll see the best situation, if there was an offer of €50m [£40m] he would be hard to give up, but at the moment there has been no official request," sporting director Daniele Prade told Corriere dello Sport recently.

A Goal.com reports says:

"The manager has sanctioned the arrivals of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera since taking charge at Old Trafford, and insists he will assess the squad following the pre-season tour of the United States before pursuing further deals.

"A number of players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford since the Dutchman's appointment, with the 26-year-old Colombia international reportedly the subject of a £30 million-plus bid."

However, he also said earlier this week that his team, Man United may not even need new recruits because he is already satisfied with his players' performance.

Could it be that van Gaal stopped believing on his principle and is ready for some high activity on the transfer market? Cramming for the Premier League?
