Floyd Mayweather's next fight will be shown in cinemas across the United States as the said rematch is seen to be of bigger magnitude compared to the first encounter.

In a report by ESPN, Floyd Mayweather's next fight against Marcos Maidana, which is scheduled for September 13th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will be shown across 600 movie theaters in the country.

Rightfully, the top pound-for-pound boxer in the world is nothing less than delighted that his rematch against "El Chino" can be viewed through the big screen.

"I love that fans can go to the movie theaters to watch my fights," Mayweather said. "Our relationship with Fathom has been a good one thus far, and it's only getting stronger. This is my first rematch in over a decade and I'm happy that we're going to give fans the opportunity to see it live on the big screen."

Fathom Events will be holding Floyd Mayweather's next fight in cinemas along with Mayweather Promotions, making it possible for boxing fans to enjoy the match in high definition.

Marcos Maidana, who aims to complete an upset this time around, is also thrilled about the idea. The Argentine boxing sensation garnered mainstream attention after being able to inflict a significant amount of damage upon Floyd Mayweather in their first meeting in May.

"I am so happy that this rematch is being shown on movie screens because when I hand Floyd his first loss, it should be larger than life," Maidana said. "Our first fight was exciting, but this one is going to be even better and I hope fans are ready."

The rematch between "Money May" and "El Chino" has been deemed as "larger than life", not only by the challenger, but by the legions of boxing fans worldwide as well. This is why Fathom Events took the opportunity to give the audience the same experience.

"The May matchup between Floyd Mayweather and Marcus Maidana had all of us on the edge of our cinema seats as it was an 'anything can happen' thrilling fight," explained Fathom Events senior vice president Dan Diamond. "Fathom Events is thrilled to bring this winner-take-all rematch to cinemas across the nation as boxing fans are sure to witness an epic battle they won't soon forget."
