Most teenagers would probably consider Spongebob Squarepants as one of their favorite cartoon characters of all time. With his unique character, appearance, and humor, this deep blue ocean dweller would surely make one’s day complete. Of course, Spongebob wouldn’t be that popular if he wasn’t surrounded by friends with diverse personalities.
While the cartoon series has been running for a very long time, a new Spongebob Squarepants Movie is being prepared and is expected to come out in cinemas next year. However, instead of showing all of being in their typical 2D animation, the underwater-dwelling main characters will be featured mostly in 3D, and literally outside of their natural habitat.
Fans have a reason to delight with the release of the Spongebob Squarepants movie trailer. The trailer begins with SpongeBob and his friends in their traditional animated cartoon form. However, when the Bikini Bottom comes under attack from an evil pirate antagonist. The gang must venture onto dry land “to save their world”. When they have come ashore, they are they appeared to be CGI-animated creatures in the real world. But that’s not the most radical transformation in the trailer which also, features a cameo from rocker Slash.
For some reason, Patrick, SpongeBob, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton all get pumped up and turn into muscled heroes. The anarchic spirit of the Nickelodeon cartoon is present and correct in this trailer for the second film, and we’re sure fans will love this new 3D makeover.
Antonio Banderas plays the requisite baddie, a pirate that faces off with SpongeBob when he visits our world in search of a recipe. He will be joined by the regular voice cast of the series, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.
The first ‘SpongeBob’ movie came to cinemas in 2004, where it featured a cameo from David Hasselhoff playing himself. Expect plenty more cameos in the new one too.
