Robert Downey Jr. may have hinted that an "Iron Man 4" flick could possibly be in the works in the near future. Just as Robert Downey Jr. and the San Diego Comic-Con 2014 have hinted, the new action-packed blockbuster may have a possible release date by 2019.

Marvel President Kevin Feige hinted during a recent interview with Collider that an "Iron Man 3" sequel is in the future as well. He said, "Of course anything's a possibility. Who the heck knows? We have a lot of work to go to finish 'Avengers 2.' We have a lot of work for whatever 'Avengers 3' is, that's all folks need to know. Who knows what happens after that."

Many publications, such as Screerant.com, strongly believe that the "Avengers 3" release date will be sometime in May of 2018, which is just three years after the supposed May 2015 release date of the blockbuster "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" film. This only means that an "Iron Man 4" movie will most likely be released in 2019, or maybe a little earlier during that year.

Moreover, Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 4 star has basically tipped that he is still very much interested to play his role as the iron-clad hero, Tony Stark, in the future Marvel flicks.

Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 4 actor shared to Entertainment Weekly, "It's down to Kevin and Ike and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement." Ike Perlmutter is the CEO of Marvel Entertainment.

Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 4 star also added, "It's that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed? Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out. The future is, as usual, uncertain."
