Bon Jovi and Lead Guitarist Richie Sambora to Reunite? Sambora Says, “No Bad Blood” Between Him and Jon Bon Jovi Since Spat

Bon Jovi front man, Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora is reported to have had a public spat in the past when the band opted to intervene in Sambora's life and suggested that the latter go into rehab. When Sambora was then replaced by Phil X to complete the band's Because We Can tour, he said, "Bon Jovi will never be the same again." For most Bon Jovi fans, Sambora's bold statement was very true.

Allegedly, Sambora was suffering from a "substance abuse" problem. It is because of this obstacle that Sambora and the rest of Bon Jovi have not communicated since April. However, multiple online reports have recently stated that Sambora might be making a comeback into the band, returning to his spot as the lead guitarist. According to reports, Sambora opted not to join Bon Jovi's spring performances last year because of "personal reasons."

A source informed RadarOnline, "It's disheartening that it has come to this. Richie is healthy. He is not drinking. He is sober. Indeed, he is the one who helped Jon's daughter after she was arrested in November and Jon clearly wanted his daughter to get the same help that worked for Richie."

At present, Sambora is on a solo tour in Europe. He did make it clear, though, that there are no longer any ill feelings between him and the rest of Bon Jovi, especially with Jon Bon Jovi. He told Lust for Life magazine, "There's no bad blood with me anymore. I love Jon, and I still see the possibility of a return. There are just a few steps I want to - need to - take. I wanted to make my own music and I preferred doing a few shows with my own band. I said I wanted a break."

He then added, "It's hurt me that more and more untrue things have come out in the media. I just wanted calmer waters, and just do something for myself. We had just finished with another tour and I saw a year of other priorities for me."
