Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mom, Ata Johnson, and cousin, Savelina "Lina" Fanene, were injured in a car crash on August 2 when a female drunk driver hit them head-on. Is the "Hercules" star seeking revenge?
The car crash involving Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mom and cousin occurred in Cleremont, Florida while they were on their way home after attending a charity event.
According to TMZ, the female drunk driver was trying to elude police after beating the red light. A traffic cop was reportedly trying to flag down the driver when she took off, said the Lake County Sheriff's Department.
The female drunk driver was also taken to the hospital after suffering from facial injuries. It's not yet known whether she will be charged in the car crash involving Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mom and cousin.
In an Instagram post, Dwayne Johnson shared a photo of the car crash along with the description: "My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they lived."
"First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them."
The former WWE superstar also wrote three hashtags: #BearHugsAndGratitude, #100PercentPreventable and #ChoicesMatter.
The Cadillac Escalade in the car crahs involving Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mom and cousin was the same vehicle that the "Hercules" star gave Ata Johnson back in 2012.
Savelina Fanene, a WWE Diva, also posted a photo on her Instagram of The Rock visiting her at the hospital. She was wearing a neck brace and glasses but otherwise seems to be healthy.
