"Game of Thrones" season 5 filming will continue despite suffering a setback with the death of J.J. Murphy, who played Ser Denys Mallister, as former cast Sean Bean returns to the small screen with the TNT series "Legends."

In a report by E! News, the Irish actor died at the age of 86 on Friday. He didn't even get a chance to play his own debut on the "Game of Thrones" season 5. He was added to the cast as Ser Denys Mallister, the oldest member of the Knight's Watch. The character will not be recast.

In a statement published on E! News, his agent said: "I am heartbroken to pass on the news that the wonderful J.J. Murphy passed away this morning 8th August 2014. I had the pleasure and honour to be his Agent for the last 18 months and have never encountered a man with more spirit, passion and love for his craft. At this time our thoughts are with his family."

J.J. Murphy died after reportedly filming his first scenes for "Game of Thrones" season 5, The Belfast Telegraph reported.

Meanwhile, former "GOT" cast Sean Bean is returning to TV via TNT's "Legends" which will be aired by the network on Wednesdays.

In the series, according to The Daily Beast, former "Game of Thrones" cast Sean Bean will play Martin Odum, described as an undercover agent who is a member of the FBI's Deep Cover Operations division. The title refers to the bureau's lingo which means "fabricated identity."

"Martin can expertly morph into his different 'legends,'" Jason Lynch wrote for the publication. "Everything from a weapons broker to a corrupt cop-but his work has left him so psychologically scarred that he's no longer sure whether even Martin Odum is real or just another legend."

The "Legends" also took advantage of the fact the former "Game of Thrones" cast Sean Bean gets killed a lot in his shows, by sharing the hashtag #DontKillSeanBean.
