"American Horror Story: Freak Show" has added another very talented member of Hollywood to the cast of the upcoming season.

Singer Patti LaBelle will be appearing in four episodes of the FX series, according to CNN.

LaBelle will be playing the mother of Gabourey Sidibe's character, a townie in 1952 Jupiter, Florida who discovers the secrets of Twisty the clown killer, according to the news outlet. To the dismay of Patti LaBelle fans all around, for her role in "American Horror Story: Freak Show," the singing sensation will only be acting.

The "After Midnight" star will be joining "American Horror Story: Freak Show" cast members Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Cassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters in the upcoming season of the horror show.

The fourth season of the hit FX series, which was co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, will premiere in October.
