The Kate Gosselin book that featured the reality star's life lessons was allegedly ripped off from her former best friend, Beth Carson, said a report from Radar Online. The co-author of the said Kate Gosselin book, entitled "Multiple Blessings", recently dissed the reality tv mom saying she "tried very, VERY hard to get my name off everything and take my cut".
Beth Carson has been featured on earlier seasons of the reality show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" along with her husband, Bob, for helping out reality TV's former first family. However, the couple disappeared in the succeeding seasons and their falling out with the Gosselins were never addressed.
Now, Beth Carson has come out to claim that she agreed to help with the Kate Gosselin book "Multiple Blessings". However, the co-author revealed to Radar Online that once all the work was done, the TV personality tried to oust Beth from getting any credit or money for the book.
Bath Carson told Radar Online: "We agreed on a 50/50 split and it was fair, although I did do all the writing, absolutely, did all the writing . . . it was without a doubt Kate's story. She told me the story and I wrote it."
"Absolutely, I wanted to take nothing away from the fact that it was her story. But I put a lot of work into it," Kate Gosselin's former best friend said.
"I didn't know that Jon was even on the book until it was published and Kate tried diligently to get my name removed from everything," Beth Carson explained, claiming that her ex-BFF tried to change their 50/50 split to a third cut to involve her then husband Jon.
Beth Carson shared: "Luckily I'd covered my butt with a lawyer and fortunately I have a business-minded husband who basically said we had to take precautions when doing business with friends."
"If not, I would have not gotten one penny or had any recourse, because Kate tried very, VERY hard to get my name off everything and take my cut," Kate Gosselin's book co-author claimed.
Beth Carson pointed out to Kate Gosselin: "Not only have I changed and fed your kids for years, at my house for a week at a time, all of them, then for her to not acknowledge me was a slap in the face."
In the end, Beth Carson received the 50 percent cut they had originally agreed on, but her friendship with the controversial mom of eight was never the same afterwards.
"That was sort of the last straw, it was a smack in the face," she told Radar Online.
