Fans have been clamouring for Disney to do "Frozen 2" for quite some time now, and cast, plot and release date rumors have rapidly spread online.
Here's the good news! Disney has already confirmed the sequel, and it will be in four parts.
Or four books, that is.
Disney and Random House have teamed up to release four "Frozen" books in 2015. The books will be a continuation of Anna and Elsa's story from the movie.
The first two books entitled "Anna and Elsa no. 1: All Hail the Queen," and "Anna and Elsa no. 2: Memory and Magic" will be released by January 26, 2015. The two other books have been reserved for a later release date.
Erica David who have written the book versions of "How to Train Your Dragon" and "The Legend of Korra" will be joining the team in writing the four "Frozen" books.
The books have been likened to the "Never Girls" book series which is set on Peter Pan's Neverland.
"We have seen our Disney 'Never Girls' series fill a real niche in the chapter book market, and with the momentum for 'Frozen' only continuing to grow, we knew this was the perfect focus for this new series," Random House children's division president Barbara Marcus said.
Disney has yet to confirm any "Frozen 2" movie cast, plot and release date details.
In a previous report, Disney CEO Bon Iger has already acknowledged "Frozen's" potential, saying, "There's a lot of active development ...You will see 'Frozen' in more places that you see today ... We expect to see not just new product but continued interest in this and continued impact on the bottom line for quite a while."
