Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4" could be one of the most powerful celebrities, franchise-wise. Every "Iron Man" film that has been out has turned out to be a blockbuster worldwide. In fact, his latest "Iron Man" flick was even a billion dollar hit.
However, for now, at least, all of the parties involved in such franchise are holding steadfast on Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4" contract. This stipulates that there will be a couple more "Avengers" flicks and no solo "Iron Man" adventures for the star anytime soon. Is it possible for Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4" to change his mind about not returning to solo blockbusters?
Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4" actually did an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, and he revealed that there will no longer be taking on solo "Iron Man" movies. The good news for his fans, though, is that this decision is actually still up for "negotiations," as he put it during the interview. For top movie-makers like Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4," "negotiations" can also be closely associated with the money that he can possibly earn from the deal.
He said, "It's down to Kevin and Ike and Disney to come to use with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement. It's that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?"
2013 was actually a very good and highly profitable year for Robert Downey Jr. "Iron Man 4." He actually finished the year as the highest paid actor because of the $75 million that he got from back-end deals in "Iron Man 3." As reported, he will be getting a relatively similar amount for next year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," as long as the movie lives up to the expectations of its awaiting fans and makes a comical amount of money.
