Chris Pratt is one of today's favorite Hollywood stars. Although he seems to have the career that every rising celebrity aspires to have, life was not always peachy for Star-Lord.
Before Chris Pratt was selected to portray the role of Andy Dwyer for "Parks and Recreation" or the role of Peter Quill in the recent blockbuster "Guardians of the Galaxy," he has had his fair share of financial struggles.
In fact, there was a time in his life that he was even homeless. On his official Facebook page, Chris Pratt shared a picture that clearly depicted his less wealthy years. Chris Pratt wrote, "Can't believe I found this picture!!! That is the van I lived in!!! In my hand is the script for the movie that got me out of Maui. Crazy."
It would seem that the Star-Lord Chris Pratt used to live in a van that resembled that of Scooby Doo's. Although he mentioned having a script, he did not give any details with regards to what script he was holding. However, for die-hard fans who are truly interested in the movie that catapulted Chris Pratt's acting career, a quick check on IMDB will indicate that his very first acting credit was with a short film entitled "Cursed Part 3."
His performance in "Guardians of the Galaxy" has improved his career in movie-making and has even helped him land a lead role in next year's highly anticipated "Jurassic World" flick.
Moreover, the 35-year-old actor has recently represented his NBC comedy show "Parks and Recreation" as one of the many celebrities in a parody PSA warning against the dangers of binge-watching programs. The short video clip was released by Entertainment Weekly last Thursday. It featured various stars from different TV shows, such as "Lost", "Pretty Little Liars", "Orange is the New Black", "How I Met Your Mother" and others.
