LPGA Championship: Inbee Park wins the Championship Trophy

26 year old Inbee Park was calm under pressure as she adds another title in her well endowed resume of wins.

Park has won the previous LPGA Championship and this year was no different. Park defended her championship crown from Brittany Lincicome with a par on the first hole of a playoff.

According to Park "I didn't feel that nervous at all today. But once I got to the tee on the playoff hole, I just felt the nerves right away. It was like a replay of last year and experience definitely helped me out. I think I was able to stay calm."

This is a momentous year for the LPGA as this will be their last year in playing at the Rochester area. They have been playing at this course for 38 years but next year the tour will team with the PGA of America to run the Women's PGA Championship. It will be held at Westchester Country Club near New York City for 2015.

During the tournament, it seemed like Lincicome was determined to win her second major as she was leading the score but got jittery in the end which gave the chance for Park to move ahead.

Park, Nancy Lopez and Patty Sheehan are only players to win twice in a row in Rochester. Because of this win, Park said that "Just very happy to be part of history."

On the other hand, Lincicome acknowledges her flaws which cause her failure. She said "Not being in this position for a while, I think it all caught up with me. Being second at a major is always a good thing. I feel like I played really, really well this week. If I keep playing the way I did, my time's coming soon. It was nice to be in contention again."

She said of Inbee "Inbee is so darn good. It was so close. I need to learn how to control the nerves a little bit more."

Park finished with a 2-under 70 to match Lincicome at 11-under 276. Lincicome had a 71. Park, from was coming off a playoff loss to Mirim Lee last week in Michigan. She has also won this season in Canada and has 11 LPGA Tour victories.
