"Avatar 2" movie is rumored to have a release date by year 2016. Plus, it would seem that fans of the hit blockbuster "Avatar" has a lot to look forward to in the coming years since, aside from the rumored "Avatar 2" in 2016, a 3rd and 4th movie will also be made in the following years.
James Cameron, director of "Avatar" said, "The 1st film took almost four years to make. We expected to be able to accelerate the process quite a bit, because we've improved a lot of the software and the computer graphics tools, and we've been working very closely with Weta Digital down here in New Zealand developing a whole new suite of tools to speed up the process."
Moreover, the internationally famed "Avatar 2" director has also confirmed that work for the sequel is already underway and that "Avatar 2" is already in its early stages. The production team is presently working on the film's scripts, designers are already preparing for the characters, and a crew has already been assigned for confirming locations and settings for the said movie.
Cameron has also confirmed that fans of the hit "Avatar" flick can expect for "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4" to have premiere dates each year following the 1st sequel. As of now, the date that has been touted for the "Avatar 2" is December of 2016.
According to many online reports, each of the sequels will have its stand-alone storyline, which means that they can be watched separately and are not ultimately dependent on each other. Still, they will all be made to perfectly fit into a bigger story arc that was originally meant for the "Avatar" franchise.
The cast will be exploring the other moons of Polyphemus and "Avatar 2" is believed to focus more on the exploration of the Na'vi culture. Pandora's special oceans will also be ventured into and there will be even more volcanoes as well.
The storyline of the "Avatar 2" has been set to be several years from where the 1st "Avatar" movie has left off. All of the coming "Avatar" films have been planned to be shot together at once and will only be edited in a post-production process. Despite being filmed at around the same time, they will not be released together.
