Peyton Manning dominated the field to win over the 49ers

Peyton Manning was manning the Denver Broncos well. Manning threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Julius Thomas. Because of this, the Denver Broncos are now passed the San Francisco 49ers 34-0 on Sunday at the Levi's Stadium.

According to Manning "it's been a good start. That's all it is, though. We've still got some things we have to improve on."

Manning has been doing quite well on his MFL career. He was able to throw an NFL-record 55 touchdown last year, then completed 12 of 14 passes for 102 yards and a 120.8 rating.

On the other hand, Demaryius Thomas had three catches on Denver's opening drive, which includes a 20-yard gain.

Thomas said "Coming off last year, losing the Super Bowl like we did, coming into OTAs I think everybody had a different mindset. You can see it with older guys, new guys. Our main thing was going out and being able to convert, and as a defense stop guys. If we're going to be stopped, we're going to stop ourselves."

But aside from the offensive end, The Broncos were also working out their defense. They were able to get two interceptions with a goal-line stand to end the game.

According to defensive lineman Marvin Austin "It was a great moment for our defense. It's real hard to put up a goose egg in a preseason game."

On the other hand, the San Francisco 49ers didn't have a great evening. They lost safety Antoine Bethea on the second quarter due to a concussion. Denver linebacker Lamin Barrow also limped off early in the second half. But Broncos also had their fair share of injury. They lost tight end Gerrell Robinson to a knee injury while Linebacker Jamar Chaney had a hamstring.

According to coach Jim Harbaugh of the 49's "We have to tighten this down fast. We have work to do, there's no doubt about it."

Currently, the 49rs are left scoreless in their last seven quarters and they have also been outsocred 57-3 this preseason.

Left tackle Joe Staley "It's the preseason, but it all means something. Scoring points is the name of the game, and we haven't done it. ... It will be a real test this week to see how we rebound from this."
