After suffering a right wrist injury during the season, Pittsburgh Penguins star center Sidney Crosby's right wrist is on the road to recovery.

It has been reported that the reigning NHL MVP contemplated whether to undergo surgery or settle on treatments.

Pens GM Jim Rutherford has released a statement regarding the matter stating "Crosby has been undergoing treatment on a right wrist injury that he suffered during the season. Sid is getting medical advice to determine the best path moving forward, including the possibility of arthroscopic surgery."

Now that Crosby has chosen to do the treatment, he has informed concerned fans that he has been healing well. He said "t's good. You want to see how things progress throughout the summer once you start skating and get back to that regular routine. You want to see how it reacts so I'm happy with the way it's gone."

Crobsy has been under the direction of trainer Matt Belfry and had compared the workout just like in "hockey school" where he is trained to focus on individual skills. He said "It's just refreshing things, relearning things as you can."

But the Pittsburgh Penguins made some changes in their line up while Crosby was out. This would have to mean that Crosby will be seeing new faces when he comes back to practice with the team.

He said "We're going to have some new faces in the dressing room trying to get that momentum and get a fresh start. We're not happy with the way things ended last year."

Croby believes that they need to be focused on their expectation to have a better season saying "The organization is committed to winning. We have opportunities as players to be successful every year. As far as the team is concerned, I think we're in a great position to win every year. We'll do our best to do our part."

Crosby was given a chance to hang out with rookie of the year good friend Nathan MacKinnon saying "I can relate to a lot of things he's going through. He's handled it pretty well. You see the way he's playing the first year with the Calder Trophy. He's just going to get better. It's a matter of being there for him."
