The full leak of the “Expendables 3” film wasn't enough to stop Lionsgate in promoting the new installment of the action franchise. For this reason, the "Expendables 3" cast members decided to drop by on ABC’s Good Morning America to tell their fans more about the matter.
The "Expendables 3" cast members, namely Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Jason Statham, Wesley Snipes, Terry Crews, Kelsey Grammer, Kellan Lutz, and Dolph Lundgren, sat down for a chat on what makes “Expendables 3” worth their while as well as the lessons they have learned while making the massive ensemble movie.
The entire interview seems to be going very well, until something snapped. Gibson’s chair broke, but luckily, he didn’t fall off it. Even if he had, viewers can assume that he would have handled it with humor.
Gibson sat on Sly’s knee for a moment until a new chair was brought in for him. He even made a joke that he had actually lost some weight lately, so it couldn’t have happened because he was fat. That only leaves the possibility that the chair broke because his star power was weighing too heavily.
More seriously, Gibson also shares his piece on how much fun he had on the set and how he’s not exactly thinking about his “career.” He mentioned the need to forgive and be forgiven, in reference to his very troubled recent years, which saw him fall from grace and almost lose his career.
Lutz made a complaint about being mocked by the older guys on set, while Stallone and Gibson chuckled like kids. Stallone’s comment on his success best suggests the output of the “Expendables” franchise. He said, “Find something you’re good at and stick with it; don’t pretend you’re a Shakespeare actor when you look and sound like Sly.”
As the interview comes to an end, the guys were asked to describe their experience on set in just one word, with laughter ensued all around.
