Julianne Hough is the new DWTS judge!
People reported that Julianne will be the newest addition to DWTS' panel of judges. The show's upcoming season 19 already has Carrie Anne Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli on board.
Julianne couldn't contain her excitement in joining the professional judges of the all-time favorite dancing competition, in an interview with People:
"My role is to encourage and be supportive, and to also be candid and honest and try not to beat around the bush, to be too politically correct,"
"I want to give critiques so they can improve. I'm not there to be harsh or cause a controversy. I won't be mean or malicious. That's not who I am. That's not my role at all."
Prior to having Julianne Hough as the new DWTS judge, she was already an occasional judge in the show.
Hough expressed her gratitude while talking to People for having been able to finally hold a regular role on the show:
"After being on tour with my brother, it felt like time to move on,"
"I felt like I really reconnected with fans, and the people have supported me since day one. They have followed me from Dancing with the Stars to my other aspirations. It just feels like the perfect time to reconnect and be a part of where it all began, with my family."
In coincidence with the announcement of Julianne Hough as the new DWTS judge, watch out for the news about the other 12 participants in DWTS "Good Morning America" on September 4.
