"Glee" season 6 spoilers and updates confirm that Max Adler will be reprising his role as gay football player Dave Karofsky. It will be the show's final season.
But his return on the show is not really what "Gleeks" need to watch out for. Multiple sources revealed that Adler will return to the show to potentially breakup Blaine Anderson, played by Darren Criss and Kurt Hummel's, played by Chris Colfer, long-time relationship.
"Glee" season 6 will only consist of 13 episodes which mean fans will easily figure out Adler's participation in the life of the show's only gay couple. Specifically, Adler will appear in the last four episodes this coming season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
In past seasons, Adler's character was portrayed as a bully football player who eventually comes clean over his sexual preference, Hypable.
Adler as Karofsky committed suicide on the show after he was bullied by his so-called friends for being gay. At that time, it was Blaine's boyfriend, Kurt, who helped me go through his life's greatest ordeal, the same publication noted.
Back in April, "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that there will be a time-jump this season and that the series will once again focus on the show's main characters.
"The final season is really its own story and its own location, and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is not New York-centric at all. It really will be a lovely, fitting season that dwells on the original people that were on the show and what happens to them and how they give back. That really is the last season. We'll revisit some of the new kids that came and went. There's a return of the Jane-Matt characters in a big way. It's really interesting, a very sweet, satisfying ending to the story," he said at that time.
"Glee" is set to return to FOX midseason, E! News revealed.
