"Sinister 2" movie news promises more chills and nightmares with a deeper look into Bughuul's history, as Blumhouse Productions starts filming the second installment of the hit horror flick.

For "Sinister 2" movie news, Screenrant reported that the screenwriting tandem of C.Robert Cargill and Scott Derrickson team up once more to bring back Bughuul's evil to the big screen. So far, Blumhouse Productions has discussed very little about the sequel to the public.

Thus, for "Sinister 2" movie news, Screenrant assumed that aside from presenting new characters, the creators would be digging deeper into Bughuul's history.

Bughuul is the ancient evil Babylonian deity responsible for the hideous family massacres in "Sinister." His brand of torment is through influence. He exercises his power by manipulating the minds of the children, driving them to kill their own families. Afterwards, he takes the kids with him - body and soul, leaving behind a gravely disturbing ongoing mystery that no one could crack.

Although Bughuul left many questions about his history in the wake of his murders, Blumhouse Productions did not say anything about answering or expounding them in the sequel. They only assured their audience that it would be as dark and atmospheric as the first one. Also, they mentioned that they incorporated many new elements into it while preserving the harrowing conclusion of the first installment.

"Sinister 2" has started filming this month in Chicago, reported The Chicago Tribune. According to the spokesman of the film outfit, shooting will take place in areas located in St. Anne and outside Grant Park village.

Bughuul's evil continues in this horror movie follow-up to the original franchise whose $3 million production budget yielded $87 million in global ticket sales, reported Deadline. Ciaran Foy of "Citadel" fame will be at the helm of creating the next chapter that will haunt cinemas on August 21, 2015.
