Fans didn't expect to see Tom Cruise in Vienna because the only location he revealed that they were filming "Mission Impossible 5" is London. The Daily Telegraph reported the 52-year old actor saying a few months ago: "I'm working on the next mission soon and we're shooting it here in London." He added, "We haven't come up with the title yet. Hopefully I'll come up with a good one before the movie is finished."
Simon Pegg, who reprises his role as Benji Dunn, revealed some filming details to Cinema Blend. The British comedian said, "We're all ready to go on August 24, which is what I'm being told. Which is why I'm here doing a little press right now, and I'm available - because I might become unavailable very soon. As far as I know, we're all set to go. We've got location work first, and then the bulk of the filming will be in Leavesden [Studios], north of London. It's a nice one for me, to be near home."
As you've noticed, both actors never mentioned filming in Vienna. However, we were able to spill out some spoilers a few weeks ago that they will be shooting in the beautiful Austrian city. KFTV reported that "Mission: Impossible 5" will kick off shooting in Vienna before they head to the United Kingdom.
Just recently, ComingSoon.net posted a photo of Tom Cruise getting inside a car on their Twitter page. The website captioned the image "More photos from the set of #MissionImpossible 5 featuring @TomCruise and @simonpegg"
The website also reported that Tom Cruise (Ethan Hunt) and Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn) did a scene at the subway station. The photos also showed Pegg wearing a nice suit inside the Vienna Opera House while Cruise and new leading lady Rebecca Fergusson were on the rooftop about to do some stunts. Could the trio be planning to steal something from the opera house?
